Colleen Olsen Pillow October 07th, 2018 - 03:10:29
The pillow that goes to the couch. So I decided that I need to make a little hug buddy hug little buddy - I don't know, but I'm gonna make mine into a cat, and I decided to show you the progress of me making mine. So you could make one for you, light pink fleece buttons and then my sewing box, I'm probably gonna use my sewing machine for this, so I'll have to get that out too, but I'm gonna make a cat. I do not have pattern paper.
So what I like to use is a wrapping paper from Christmas, so I'm going to just draw out my pattern, shape of what I have in my head on this paper. This is the basic kitty shape that I want my stuffed animal to have. So I'm I'm also going to put a face on it, I'm probably going to use buttons and maybe some different colored fabric to make the mouth and stuff, but this is the basic shape I want for my little hardy great. My pattern piece cut out and onto the pink place, and this is folded, so I can cut out both pieces at once. I'm not gonna make this to like 3d with the nose popping out or stuff because I just want it to be like a comfy, muggy pillow.
It doesn't need a lot of them added stuff on it. So I'm going to cut this, I'm not cutting exactly up to the pattern piece because I do want it to be pretty big and be about issues that I cut out for my pattern piece. So I'm cutting a little bit larger. Then you have your pattern piece to give seam allowance and everything, I'm going to be hiding my stitching, and I want it to look nicely finished. So I put the right sides together and I'm gonna be pinning these together and I'm gonna leave an opening at the bottom. And this is so that I can turn it right-side out.
Once it's sewn together and then I can use that same hole or putting the cotton and stuffing inside these open together and then I said it myself and I just left a hole here so that I can flip it inside out. Okay, this is the perfect cutting tool because you just wrap your arms around its neck and you just squeeze and cuddle it, and I think it should get less bumpy from like this inhales and squeeze and fast, because the cotton or like the stuffing, it's like no Mush in place, it's still kind of all that so I need to fix this little hole ready to decorate all right.
I'm gonna name it pushy and if it's not like perfect, but I don't want it to look perfect, I want it to look a little bit dirty. You know this is gonna, be a little slushy buddy triangle of nuts where's button, and I think I want to do these two black ones for the eyes and then a little red on, I'm making training up and then with the rest of The yarn alright first of a thread that I have left for this button. I just sewed down happy mouth and I use green thread here and pink thread here and I think it needs a bow and a collar.
So I'll probably add that I also happened to have a hot pink. Many of you know what I just cut a long strip of the hot pink please, and I I just tied it around her neck. So I can actually change out the color. If I want to - and it's about I don't know if it even needs a head bow, I think all I might need to add is maybe triangles further.
