Anti-roll pillows. It's really important that you use these correctly. The roll pillow has a detachable roll which must be on the baby's back as if it detaches, of course, the baby will then roll onto their back and not onto their front. Babies have placed at a slight angle of a 20-degree angle and not totally on their sides. Ideally, you would use the roll pillow in a Moses basket for the first six to eight weeks, but I'm looking after twins at the moment and they share a cot.
So this is how you would put your baby in a sleep positioned without a swaddle, so the back is tilted up at like a 20 degree angle, underneath the armpit chest height and in a cot you would use a smaller blanket to wrap over the rolls To keep the rolls in place blanket tucked in tight Whitney needs to be a little stretchy blanket to do this all the way over all blankets, chest and shoulder height and tucked in well, so there are no loose blankets.
Also, a baby's head needs to be slightly higher than their feet, so in a cot, you would raise the cot slightly to angle it. So the baby's head is ever so slightly a 10-degree angle above their feet. You would also do the same with a Moses basket, so, if you're putting your baby in a swaddle in the roll pillows, again detach all roll on them back chest height.
